Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
19 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat) before The Splitting (Al-Inshiqaaq)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
۞ When the sky breaks apart 1 And when the stars shall be scattered, 2 when the seas swarm over, 3 when the tombs are overthrown, 4 Each soul shall know that which it sent afore and that which it left behind. 5 O man! What has seduced thee from thy Lord Most Beneficent?- 6 who has created thee, and formed thee in accordance with what thou art meant' to be, and shaped thy nature in just proportions, 7 In whatever form He willed has He assembled you. 8 Not at all – but rather you deny the establishment of Justice. 9 Surely there are guardians over you, 10 noble recorders, 11 They know whatsoever ye do. 12 As for the Righteous, they will be in bliss; 13 And most surely the wicked are in burning fire, 14 They shall enter it on the Day of Recompense 15 And they will not be able to keep away therefrom. 16 And what shall teach thee what is the Day of Doom? 17 Again would that you only knew how terrible it really is! 18 It is the day when no soul will have power to do the least for a soul, and God's alone will be done. 19
Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
