Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
۞ When the sky is cleft asunder; 1 And the stars dispersed, 2 and when the seas burst beyond their bounds, 3 And when the Graves are turned upside down;- 4 Each soul shall know that which it sent afore and that which it left behind. 5 O man! what has beguiled you from your Lord, the Gracious one, 6 who created thee and shaped thee and wrought thee in symmetry 7 in whatever form He pleased? 8 No indeed; but you cry lies to the Doom; 9 Verify there are for you guardians, 10 watching over you 11 who know what you do. 12 Lo! the righteous verily will be in delight. 13 And lo! the wicked verily will be in hell; 14 Which they will enter on the Day of Judgment, 15 to burn therein. 16 And what can make you know what is the Day of Recompense? 17 Again would that you only knew how terrible it really is! 18 (It will be) the Day when no person shall have power (to do) anything for another, and the Decision, that Day, will be (wholly) with Allah. 19
