Al-Infitaar
Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
19 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat) before The Splitting (Al-Inshiqaaq)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
۞ When the heaven is cleft asunder, 1 when the stars are scattered, 2 And when the seas are made to flow forth, 3 And when the Graves are turned upside down;- 4 (Then) a person will know what he has sent forward and (what he has) left behind (of good or bad deeds). 5 O man! what hath beguiled thee concerning thy Lord, the Bountiful, 6 Who created you, fashioned you perfectly, and gave you due proportion; 7 in whatever form He pleased? 8 No indeed; (the fact is that) you deny the Reckoning, declaring it a lie; 9 And yet, verily, there are ever-watchful forces over you, 10 noble, recording, 11 Knowing all what you may do. 12 The pious will surely be in heaven, 13 whereas, behold, the wicked will indeed be in a blazing fire 14 In which they will enter, and taste its burning flame on the Day of Recompense, 15 and which they shall not [be able to] evade. 16 And what will explain to thee what the Day of Judgment is? 17 Again, what will make you know what the Day of Recompense is? 18 It is the Day when no soul can do a thing for another soul. That Day, the command belongs to Allah. 19
Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
