Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
19 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat) before The Splitting (Al-Inshiqaaq)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
۞ WHEN THE SKY is cleft asunder, 1 And the stars dispersed, 2 when the seas swarm over, 3 And when the [contents of] graves are scattered, 4 then everyone will know what he has sent ahead, and what he has left behind. 5 O man! What has seduced thee from thy Lord Most Beneficent?- 6 Who created thee, then moulded thee, then proportioned thee? 7 and composed thee after what form He would? 8 No indeed; (the fact is that) you deny the Reckoning, declaring it a lie; 9 you do so the while there are watchers over you; 10 Noble and recording; 11 They know all that you do. 12 Lo! the righteous verily will be in delight. 13 whereas the wicked will be in Hell; 14 which they will enter on the Day of Judgment 15 and from which they will find no escape. 16 And what shall teach thee what is the Day of Doom? 17 Again: what will make you realize what the Day of Judgement will be? 18 It is the day when no soul will have power to do the least for a soul, and God's alone will be done. 19
