Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ When the heaven is cleft asunder, 1 And when the stars fall down. 2 When the Oceans are suffered to burst forth; 3 And when the graves are turned upside down (and they bring out their contents) 4 (Then) a person will know what he has sent forward and (what he has) left behind (of good or bad deeds). 5 O man! What has deceived you about your generous Lord 6 Who created you, then made you complete, then made you symmetrical? 7 in whatever composition He wanted. 8 No! But you deny the Recompense. 9 But verily, over you (are appointed angels in charge of mankind) to watch you. 10 Noble and recording; 11 and these honorable scribes know whatever you do. 12 Verily the pious shall be in Delight. 13 And indeed, the wicked will be in Hellfire. 14 In which they will enter, and taste its burning flame on the Day of Recompense, 15 And they shall by no means be absent from it. 16 And what do you know – of what sort is the Day of Justice! 17 Again, what do you know what the Day of Recompense is? 18 On that day, no soul will be of any benefit to any other soul. On that day, all affairs will be in the hands of God. 19
