Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ WHEN THE SKY is split asunder, 1 and when the stars are scattered; 2 And when the seas are erupted 3 And the sepulchres are overturned, 4 the soul shall know what it has done, the former and the latter. 5 O MAN! What is it that lures thee away from thy bountiful Sustainer, 6 Who created you, then made you complete, then made you symmetrical? 7 Shaping you into any form He pleased? 8 No! But you deny the Recompense. 9 But verily over you (are appointed angels) to protect you,- 10 Noble and recording; 11 and these honorable scribes know whatever you do. 12 Surely the virtuous shall be in Bliss, 13 And verily, the Fujjar (the wicked, disbelievers, sinners and evil-doers) will be in the blazing Fire (Hell), 14 They will [enter to] burn therein on the Day of Recompense, 15 to burn therein. 16 How can you comprehend what the Day of Judgement is? 17 Again: what will make you realize what the Day of Judgement will be? 18 A day when no soul shall possess aught to succour another soul; that day the Command shall belong unto God. 19
