Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
۞ When the heaven shall be cleft, 1 when the stars are scattered, 2 And when the seas are erupted 3 when the tombs are overthrown, 4 Every soul will come to know what it has sent ahead and what it left behind. 5 O man! What has made you careless concerning your Lord, the Most Generous? 6 Who created you, fashioned you perfectly, and gave you due proportion; 7 having put thee together in whatever form He willed [thee to have]? 8 No indeed; but you cry lies to the Doom; 9 you do so the while there are watchers over you; 10 noble recorders, 11 who know whatever you do. 12 Indeed, the righteous shall (live) in bliss. 13 But the wicked, indeed they shall be in the Fiery Furnace, 14 They shall enter it on the day of judgment. 15 And will not be absent thence. 16 And what will make you realize what the day of judgment is? 17 Again, what shall make thee know whatsoever the Day of Requital is? 18 It is the Day when no soul can do a thing for another soul. That Day, the command belongs to Allah. 19
