Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ WHEN THE SKY is cleft asunder, 1 when the stars are scattered, 2 when the seas overflow; 3 And when the [contents of] graves are scattered, 4 Every soul will come to know what it has sent ahead and what it left behind. 5 Human being, what evil has deceived you about your Gracious Lord, 6 Who created you, shaped you, and made you well-proportioned, 7 In whatever Form He wills, does He put thee together. 8 Nay, [O men,] but you [are lured away from God whenever you are tempted to] give the lie to [God's] Judgment! 9 And indeed, [appointed] over you are keepers, 10 Kiraman (honourable) Katibin writing down (your deeds). 11 They know whatsoever ye do. 12 Verily the pious shall be in Delight. 13 whereas the wicked will be in Hell; 14 They will burn in it on the Day of Judgement, 15 and from which they will find no escape. 16 And what will make you know what the Day of Recompense is? 17 Again, what shall make thee know whatsoever the Day of Requital is? 18 A day when no soul shall possess aught to succour another soul; that day the Command shall belong unto God. 19
