Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
۞ When the Sky is cleft asunder; 1 when the stars are scattered, 2 And when the seas are flowed out, 3 When the graves are overturned, 4 then a soul shall know its works, the former and the latter. 5 O man! What has deceived you away from your Lord, the Most Beneficent? 6 Who created you proportionately and fashioned you 7 and composed thee after what form He would? 8 Nay! But you deny the Recompense (reward for good deeds and punishment for evil deeds). 9 And yet, verily, there are ever-watchful forces over you, 10 noble recorders, 11 who know what you do. 12 The pious will surely be in heaven, 13 And most surely the wicked are in burning fire, 14 They will burn in it on the Day of Judgement, 15 And they shall by no means be absent from it. 16 And what will explain to thee what the Day of Judgment is? 17 And once again: What could make thee conceive what that Judgment Day will be? 18 (It will be) the Day when no person shall have power (to do) anything for another, and the Decision, that Day, will be (wholly) with Allah. 19
