Al-Infitaar
Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
19 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat) before The Splitting (Al-Inshiqaaq)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
۞ When the sky breaks apart 1 when the stars are scattered, 2 when the oceans are gushed forth, 3 And when the [contents of] graves are scattered, 4 A soul will [then] know what it has put forth and kept back. 5 O man! What has deceived you about your generous Lord 6 Who created thee, then moulded thee, then proportioned thee? 7 Into whatever form He pleased He constituted you. 8 Yet you deny the Last Judgement. 9 And indeed, [appointed] over you are keepers, 10 noble scribes, 11 who know of all that you do. 12 Indeed, the righteous shall (live) in bliss. 13 and the wicked shall be in the Blazing Fire. 14 Roasted they shall be therein on the Day of Requital. 15 and from it they shall never be absent. 16 And what will make you realize what the day of judgment is? 17 Again, what will make you know what the Day of Recompense is? 18 It is a Day whereon no soul shall own aught of power for any soul; and the command on that Day will be Allah's. 19
Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
