Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
19 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat) before The Splitting (Al-Inshiqaaq)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ When the sky breaks apart 1 and when the stars are scattered; 2 when the seas are made to burst forth, 3 And when the graves are overturned. 4 Each soul shall know that which it sent afore and that which it left behind. 5 O man! What has deceived you away from your Lord, the Most Beneficent? 6 The One Who created you, then moulded you, then made you proper? 7 having put thee together in whatever form He willed [thee to have]? 8 Rather, you belied the Recompense. 9 Yet over you there are watchers, 10 Honorable recorders, 11 They know whatsoever ye do. 12 The virtuous ones will live in bliss 13 The wicked certainly in Hell: 14 They will [enter to] burn therein on the Day of Recompense, 15 And will not be able to hide from it. 16 They will never be able to escape from it. Would that you knew what the Day of Judgment is! 17 Again would that you only knew how terrible it really is! 18 It will be a Day when no human being shall be of the least avail to any other human being, God [alone] will hold command on that Day. 19
God the Almighty always says the truth.
