Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ When heaven is split open, 1 and when the stars are scattered; 2 When the Oceans are suffered to burst forth; 3 When the graves are overturned, 4 then everyone will know what he has sent ahead, and what he has left behind. 5 Human being, what evil has deceived you about your Gracious Lord, 6 Who created you then formed your symmetry, then gave you right proportion, 7 Into whatever form He pleased He constituted you. 8 Nay, [O men,] but you [are lured away from God whenever you are tempted to] give the lie to [God's] Judgment! 9 yet there are over you watchers 10 Kind and honourable,- Writing down (your deeds): 11 They know (and understand) all that ye do. 12 Verily the pious shall be in Delight. 13 whereas the wicked will be in Hell; 14 They will enter it on the Day of Justice. 15 and which they shall not [be able to] evade. 16 And what could make thee conceive what that Judgment Day will be? 17 Again, what will make you know what the Day of Recompense is? 18 A day on which no soul hath power at all for any (other) soul. The (absolute) command on that day is Allah's. 19
