The Splitting (Al-Inshiqaaq)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
۞ When the heaven is sundered. 1 And has responded to its Lord and was obligated [to do so] 2 when the earth flattens out, 3 And casts forth what is within it and becomes (clean) empty, 4 obeying its Lord, as it must do! 5 O man, indeed you have to surely run towards your Lord, and to meet him. 6 Then as to him who is given his book in his right hand, 7 shall have an easy reckoning 8 And will return to his people full of joy. 9 And whoever is given his record of deeds behind his back – 10 shall call for destruction 11 and roast at the Blaze. 12 Verily he was among his people joyous. 13 Verily, he thought that he would never come back (to Us)! 14 Surely yes, why not? Indeed his Lord is seeing him. 15 So by oath of the late evening’s light. 16 And the night and that which it drives on, 17 And by the moon when it is at the full, 18 Surely ye shall ride layer upon layer. 19 What is wrong with them that they do not believe? 20 and [that,] when the Qur'an is read unto them, they do not fall down in prostration? ۩ 21 Nay, (on the contrary), those who disbelieve, belie (Prophet Muhammad (Peace be upon him) and whatever he brought, i.e. this Quran and Islamic Monotheism, etc.). 22 And Allah knows best what they gather (of good and bad deeds), 23 Wherefore announce thou unto them a torment afflictive. 24 except to those who believe, and do righteous deeds, for theirs is an unfailing recompense. 25
