And Aaron indeed had told them beforehand: O my people! Ye are but being seduced therewith, for lo! your Lord is the Beneficent, so follow me and obey my order. 90 They said: We will by no means cease to keep to its worship until Musa returns to us. 91 But (Moses) said: "O Aaron, when you saw that they had gone astray, what hindered you 92 "That you followed me not (according to my advice to you)? Have you then disobeyed my order?" 93 'Son of my mother' he replied, 'Do not seize my beard nor my head. I was afraid that you might say: "You have divided the Children of Israel and did not uphold my word." 94 Moses asked, "Samiri, what were your motives?" 95 He replied: "I saw what they saw not: so I took a handful (of dust) from the footprint of the Messenger, and threw it (into the calf): thus did my soul suggest to me." 96 'Begone! Your lot in this life is to cry: "untouchable!' said he (Moses). 'An appointment awaits you that you cannot fail to keep. Look at your god which you clung to indeed we will burn it and scatter its ashes upon the sea' 97 Your God is none else than Allah, beside Whom there is no god. His knowledge embraces everything." 98 Thus do We relate to thee some stories of what happened before: for We have sent thee a Message from Our own Presence. 99 If any do turn away therefrom, verily they will bear a burden on the Day of judgment; 100 therein abiding forever; how evil upon the Day of Resurrection that burden for them! 101 the Day when the trumpet shall be blown: We shall gather all the sinners on that Day. Their eyes will turn blue with terror 102 In whispers will they speak to each other (saying): "You stayed not longer than ten (days)." 103 We know well what they will say. The most just among them in the matter will declare: 'You have stayed away but one day' 104

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
