In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ When the heaven breaks apart. 1 obeying its Sustainer, as in truth it must; 2 And when the earth is spread out. 3 and casts forth whatever is in it, and becomes utterly void, 4 And obeys its Lord and it must. 5 O Man! Thou art labouring unto thy Lord laboriously, and thou shalt encounter Him. 6 he who is given his record in his right hand 7 shall be called to an easy accounting, 8 And will return unto his folk in joy. 9 But whoso is given his account behind his back, 10 He surely will invoke destruction 11 And he will enter a Blazing Fire. 12 They lived among their people joyfully 13 for, behold, he never thought that he would have to return [to God]. 14 Yes! Verily, his Lord has been ever beholding him! 15 So indeed I call to witness the evening twilight, 16 The Night and its Homing; 17 And the moon when at the full, 18 You will surely go up level by level. 19 But what is the matter with them that they do not believe, 20 And that, when the Qur'an is read unto them, they prostrate not them-selves! ۩ 21 In fact, they reject the Quran, 22 and God knows very well what they are secreting. 23 Therefore give to them glad tidings of a painful punishment, 24 But for those who believe and do good works; for them there shall be a never-ending reward. 25
