The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
By the heaven with its impregnable castles; 1 and [then bethink thyself of] the promised Day, 2 And by the witnessing day (i.e. Friday), and by the witnessed day [i.e. the day of 'Arafat (Hajj) the ninth of Dhul-Hijjah]; 3 The companions of the pit were killed 4 Full of fire fed by faggots, 5 when they were seated over it 6 And were themselves the witnesses of what they did to the believers. 7 They had nothing against them, except that they believed in Allah, the All-Mighty, Worthy of all Praise! 8 Him, Whose is the dominion of heavens and the earth. And Allah is over everything a Witness. 9 Surely for those who persecute believers, men and women, and do not repent afterwards, is the punishment of Hell, and the punishment of burning. 10 Surely (as for) those who believe and do good, they shall have gardens beneath which rivers flow, that is the great achievement. 11 The vengeance of God is terribly severe. 12 It is He Who creates from the very beginning, and He can restore (life). 13 He is the forgiving and the loving, 14 the Owner of the Throne, the Glorious One, 15 Doer of whatsoever He intendeth. 16 Has the story reached thee, of the forces- 17 of the Pharaoh and Thamud? 18 But those who disbelieve are engaged in denial. 19 And Allah encompasses them on every side. 20 Indeed, this is a Glorious Koran, 21 (Inscribed) in a Tablet Preserved! 22
