The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
By the sky containing great stars 1 And by oath of the Promised Day. 2 By the witness and the witnessed! 3 Cursed were the companions of the trench 4 [Containing] the fire full of fuel, 5 when they were seated over it 6 And were themselves the witnesses of what they did to the believers. 7 And they did not take vengeance on them for aught except that they believed in Allah, the Mighty, the Praised, 8 To whom belongs the dominion of the heavens and the earth. And Allah, over all things, is Witness. 9 Surely those who tormented the believing men and the believing women and then did not repent, theirs shall be the chastisement of Hell, and theirs shall be the chastisement of burning. 10 Indeed, those who have believed and done righteous deeds will have gardens beneath which rivers flow. That is the great attainment. 11 Verily the grip of thine Lord is severe. 12 He it is Who creates for the first time and He it is Who will create again, 13 and He is the All-forgiving, the All-loving, 14 Owner of the Throne, the Exalted. 15 Doer (without let) of all that He intends. 16 Has it come to you the story of the hosts 17 of Pharaoh, and of [the tribe of] Thamud? 18 But they who disbelieve are in [persistent] denial, 19 However, God encompassed their activities. 20 What is revealed to you is certainly a glorious Quran 21 upon an imperishable tablet [inscribed]. 22
