The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
CONSIDER the sky full of great constellations, 1 by the promised day, 2 and by the witness (Muhammad) and that which is witnessed (the Day of Judgment), 3 may the people be condemned those who tortured (the believers) in ditches 4 Of fire fuel-fed, 5 when they were seated around it 6 Witnessing what they had done to the believers! 7 And they persecuted them for naught save that they believed in Allah, the Mighty, the Praiseworthy 8 To whom belongs the dominion of the heavens and the earth. And Allah, over all things, is Witness. 9 Lo! they who persecute believing men and believing women and repent not, theirs verily will be the doom of hell, and theirs the doom of burning. 10 Those who believe, and do righteous deeds, for them await gardens underneath which rivers flow; that is the great triumph. 11 Verily, (O Muhammad (Peace be upon him)) the Grip (Punishment) of your Lord is severe. 12 Indeed it is He Who initiates and redoes. 13 And He is Oft-Forgiving, full of love (towards the pious who are real true believers of Islamic Monotheism), 14 The Lord of the Glorious Throne, 15 a sovereign doer of whatever He wills. 16 Has the story of the hordes 17 Of the Fir'awn and the Thamud? 18 Nay! The disbelievers (persisted) in denying (Prophet Muhammad (Peace be upon him) and his Message of Islamic Monotheism). 19 God encompasses them from all sides. 20 Aye! it is a Recitation glorious, 21 upon an imperishable tablet [inscribed]. 22
