The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
22 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Sun (Al-Shams) before The Fig (Al-Teen)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
By the heaven, holding the big stars. 1 And the promised day, 2 And the witness and the witnessed, 3 Cursed be the makers of the pit, 4 Fire supplied (abundantly) with fuel, 5 They sat by it 6 fully conscious of what they are doing to the believers, 7 And they did not take vengeance on them for aught except that they believed in Allah, the Mighty, the Praised, 8 and the One to whom belongs the heavens and the earth. God is the Witness of all things. 9 Those who persecute (or draw into temptation) the Believers, men and women, and do not turn in repentance, will have the Penalty of Hell: They will have the Penalty of the Burning Fire. 10 Verily, those who believe and do righteous good deeds, for them will be Gardens under which rivers flow (Paradise). That is the great success. 11 The grip of your Lord is indeed severe, 12 Surely He it is Who originates and reproduces, 13 And He only is the Oft Forgiving, the Beloved of His bondmen. 14 Lord of the Throne of Glory, 15 the Executor of what He wills. 16 Has it come to you the story of the hosts 17 Of Fir'aun (Pharaoh) and Thamud? 18 Yet the infidels persist in denial. 19 But Allah doth encompass them from behind! 20 What is revealed to you is certainly a glorious Quran 21 in a Guarded Tablet. 22
Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
