The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
By the heaven, holding the big stars. 1 By the promised Day (of Judgment); 2 and [of] Him who witnesses [all,] and [of] that unto which witness is borne [by Him]! 3 Cursed were the companions of the trench 4 of fire fiercely burning [for all who have attained to faith]! 5 When they sat by it, 6 And they, to what they were doing against the believers, were witnesses. 7 And what did they dislike from the Muslims, except that the Muslims accepted faith in Allah the Most Honourable, the Most Praiseworthy? 8 God to whom belongs the Kingdom of the heavens and the earth, and God is Witness over everything. 9 Surely (as for) those who persecute the believing men and the believing women, then do not repent, they shall have the chastisement of hell, and they shall have the chastisement of burning. 10 Indeed those who believed and did good deeds – for them are Gardens beneath which rivers flow; this is the great success. 11 Stern indeed is your Lord's punishment. 12 Surely it is He who originates, and brings again, 13 And He is the Oft-Forgiving, Full of Loving-Kindness, 14 in sublime almightiness enthroned, 15 Performer of what He desires. 16 Has the story reached thee, of the forces- 17 [Those of] Pharaoh and Thamud? 18 In fact, the disbelievers had always rejected (Our revelations). 19 But Allah doth encompass them from behind! 20 But this is an honored Qur'an 21 (Inscribed) in a Tablet Preserved! 22
