The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
By the heaven adorned with big stars. 1 by the promised day, 2 And by the Day witnessing and the Day witnessed, 3 Perish the fellows of the ditch, 4 Fire supplied (abundantly) with fuel, 5 When they sat by it (fire), 6 And they, to what they were doing against the believers, were witnesses. 7 whom they hate for no other reason than that they believe in God, the Almighty, the One to whom all praise is due, 8 to whom belongs the Kingdom of the heavens and earth. And Allah is the Witness of all things. 9 Surely those who tormented the believing men and the believing women and then did not repent, theirs shall be the chastisement of Hell, and theirs shall be the chastisement of burning. 10 Lo! those who believe and do good works, theirs will be Gardens underneath which rivers flow. That is the Great Success. 11 Verily the grip of thine Lord is severe. 12 Lo! He it is Who produceth, then reproduceth, 13 And He is the Forgiving, the Loving, 14 Owner of the Throne, the Exalted. 15 and the Most Effective in His decision. 16 Has there reached you the story of the soldiers - 17 Of the Fir'awn and the Thamud? 18 But they who disbelieve are in [persistent] denial, 19 However, God encompassed their activities. 20 Nay, but it is a glorious Koran, 21 [Inscribed] in a Preserved Slate. 22
