The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
By the heaven adorned with big stars. 1 and by the promised Day, 2 by the witness and the witnessed, 3 slain were the Men of the Pit, 4 of fire fiercely burning [for all who have attained to faith]! 5 while they sat around it, 6 And they were witnesses of what they did with the believers. 7 And they did not take vengeance on them for aught except that they believed in Allah, the Mighty, the Praised, 8 [and] to whom the dominion of the heavens and the earth belongs. But God is witness unto everything! 9 Indeed those who troubled the Muslim men and Muslim women, and then did not repent – for them is the punishment of hell, and for them is the punishment of fire. 10 Surely (as for) those who believe and do good, they shall have gardens beneath which rivers flow, that is the great achievement. 11 The grip of your Lord is indeed severe, 12 Verily, He it is Who begins (punishment) and repeats (punishment in the Hereafter) (or originates the creation of everything, and then repeats it on the Day of Resurrection). 13 And He is the Oft-Forgiving, Full of Loving-Kindness, 14 the Owner of the Throne, the Glorious One, 15 Doer (without let) of all that He intends. 16 Has not there come to you the story of the hosts, 17 Of Pharaoh and Thamud come to you? 18 Yet the infidels persist in denial. 19 God encompasses them from all sides. 20 Nay! it is a glorious Quran, 21 (Preserved) on the guarded tablet. 22
