The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
CONSIDER the sky full of great constellations, 1 By the promised Day (of Judgment); 2 And by the witness and that whereunto he beareth testimony, 3 the people of the pit were destroyed 4 the makers of the fuel-stoked fire! 5 When they sat by it, 6 And they, to what they were doing against the believers, were witnesses. 7 And they ill-treated them for no other reason than that they believed in Allah, Exalted in Power, Worthy of all Praise!- 8 Whose kingdom spreads over the heavens and the earth. God is witness over everything. 9 Those who persecute (or draw into temptation) the Believers, men and women, and do not turn in repentance, will have the Penalty of Hell: They will have the Penalty of the Burning Fire. 10 As for the righteously striving believers, they will live in Paradise wherein streams flow. This is the greatest triumph. 11 Surely thy Lord's assault is terrible. 12 Surely He it is Who originates and reproduces, 13 He is the forgiving and the loving, 14 Master of the Honourable Throne. 15 Executor of His own will. 16 Hath there come unto thee the story of the hosts 17 Of the Fir'awn and the Thamud? 18 Yet the infidels persist in denial. 19 And Allah encompasses them on every side. 20 Nay, but it is a glorious Koran, 21 upon an imperishable tablet [inscribed]. 22
