The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
By the heaven adorned with big stars. 1 By the Promised Day! 2 By the witness and the witnessed! 3 THEY DESTROY [but] themselves, they who would ready a pit 4 Of the fire (kept burning) with fuel, 5 when they were seated around it 6 And they were witnesses of what they did with the believers. 7 And they resented them not except because they believed in Allah, the Exalted in Might, the Praiseworthy, 8 Him to Whom belongs the dominion of the heavens and the earth! And Allah is Witness to all things. 9 Indeed, those who have tortured the believing men and believing women and then have not repented will have the punishment of Hell, and they will have the punishment of the Burning Fire. 10 As for those who believed and acted righteously, theirs shall be Gardens beneath which rivers flow. That is the great triumph. 11 Verily the grip of thine Lord is severe. 12 it is He who begins and repeats [His creation], 13 and He is the Ever Forgiving, the Most Loving 14 Owner of the throne, the Glorious 15 Doer of what He will. 16 Has it come to you the story of the hosts 17 Of Pharaoh and the Thamud? 18 But they who disbelieve are in [persistent] denial, 19 But God surrounds them from all sides. 20 Nay, this is a Glorious Qur'an, 21 [Inscribed] in a Preserved Slate. 22
