The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
By oath of the heaven which contains the constellations. 1 By the promised Day (of Judgment); 2 And by the witness and that whereunto he beareth testimony, 3 THEY DESTROY [but] themselves, they who would ready a pit 4 the makers of the fuel-stoked fire! 5 When they sat by it, 6 and were witnessing what they did to the believers. 7 And they ill-treated them for no other reason than that they believed in Allah, Exalted in Power, Worthy of all Praise!- 8 to whom belongs the Kingdom of the heavens and earth. And Allah is the Witness of all things. 9 Indeed those who troubled the Muslim men and Muslim women, and then did not repent – for them is the punishment of hell, and for them is the punishment of fire. 10 Those who believe, and do righteous deeds, for them await gardens underneath which rivers flow; that is the great triumph. 11 Indeed the seizure of your Lord is very severe. 12 Verily, He it is Who begins (punishment) and repeats (punishment in the Hereafter) (or originates the creation of everything, and then repeats it on the Day of Resurrection). 13 And He is the Forgiving, the Loving, 14 Lord of the Arsh, the Glorious, 15 The Doer of whatever He wants. 16 Have you not heard about the stories of the armies 17 of Pharaoh and of Thamood? 18 Nay! those who disbelieve are in (the act of) giving the lie to the truth. 19 While Allah encompasses them from behind. 20 What is revealed to you is certainly a glorious Quran 21 (Preserved) on the guarded tablet. 22
