The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
CONSIDER the sky full of great constellations, 1 And by the Promised Day. 2 And the witness and the witnessed, 3 the people of the pit were destroyed 4 The people of the fuelled blazing fire. 5 When they were sitting near it 6 And were themselves the witnesses of what they did to the believers. 7 The only reason for which they tormented the believers was the latter's belief in God, the Majestic, and Praiseworthy. 8 to Whom belongs the dominion of the heavens and the earth. Allah witnesses everything. 9 Verily those who affected the believing men and the believing women, and then repented not, theirs shall be the torment of Hell, and theirs shall be the torment of burning. 10 Lo! those who believe and do good works, theirs will be Gardens underneath which rivers flow. That is the Great Success. 11 Surely thy Lord's assault is terrible. 12 it is He who begins and repeats [His creation], 13 And He alone is truly-forgiving, all-embracing in His love, 14 Lord of the Throne, the All-glorious, 15 Executor of His own will. 16 Hast thou received the story of the hosts, 17 of Pharaoh and of Thamood? 18 The unbelievers are indeed engaged in denying it, calling it a lie, 19 However, God encompassed their activities. 20 Nay! This is a Glorious Quran, 21 that exists in a well-guarded tablet. 22
