The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By the heaven adorned with big stars. 1 By the Promised Day! 2 and by the witness (Muhammad) and that which is witnessed (the Day of Judgment), 3 Accursed be the People of the Ditch! 4 Of the fuel-fed fire, 5 when they were seated over it 6 fully conscious of what they are doing to the believers, 7 And they persecuted them for naught save that they believed in Allah, the Mighty, the Praiseworthy 8 God to whom belongs the Kingdom of the heavens and the earth, and God is Witness over everything. 9 Those who persecute the believing men and believing women, and then do not repent, will surely suffer the punishment of Hell, and the torment of burning. 10 Verily those who believed and worked righteous works, theirs shall be Gardens whereunder the rivers flow; that is the supreme achievement. 11 Surely the might of your Lord is great. 12 It is He who creates all things and causes them to return. 13 and He is the All-forgiving, the All-loving, 14 Lord of the Arsh, the Glorious, 15 Performer of what He desires. 16 Has the story reached thee, of the forces- 17 Of Fir'aun (Pharaoh) and Thamud? 18 And yet the Unbelievers (persist) in rejecting (the Truth)! 19 And Allah, all unseen, surroundeth them. 20 Nay, but it is a glorious Koran, 21 On a guarded tablet. 22
