The Comet (Al-Taareq)
17 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By the heaven and the night-comer 1 And what will make you to know what At-Tariq (night-comer) is? 2 (It is) the star of piercing brightness; 3 [for] no human being has ever been left unguarded. 4 So let man consider from what he is created. 5 he has been created out of a seminal fluid 6 issuing between the loins and the breast-bones. 7 He certainly has the power to bring him back to life. 8 On the day when all secrets will be made public, 9 Then he shall have no power nor any helper. 10 By oath of the sky from which comes down the rain. 11 And by oath of the earth which flourishes with it. 12 surely it is a decisive word; 13 it is not a jest. 14 They are devising guile, 15 And I (too) will make a scheme. 16 Therefore give them some respite give them some time. 17
God Almighty has spoken the truth.
