The Comet (Al-Taareq)
17 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
By the Sky and the Night-Visitant (therein);- 1 And what could make thee conceive what it is that comes in the night? 2 (It is a nightly radiant star). 3 There is no soul but that it has over it a protector. 4 Let the human being reflect that from what he has been created. 5 he has been created out of a seminal fluid 6 emanating from between the loins and the ribs. 7 Most surely He is able to return him (to life). 8 On a Day whereon secrets shall be out. 9 when he will be helpless, with no supporter. 10 I swear by the raingiving heavens, 11 And [by] the earth which cracks open, 12 surely it is a decisive word; 13 It is no pleasantry. 14 They (disbelievers) plot every evil plan, 15 but I shall bring all their scheming to nought. 16 So allow time for the disbelievers. Leave them awhile. 17
God Almighty has spoken the truth.
