The Comet (Al-Taareq)
17 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
By the heavens and that which comes in the night -- 1 What could let you know what the nightly comer is! 2 It is the shining star -- 3 That over each soul there is a guardian. 4 Let the human reflect of what he is created. 5 He is created from a gushing fluid 6 emanating from between the loins and the ribs. 7 Indeed Allah is Able to return him. 8 on the Day when consciences are examined, 9 and [man] will have neither strength nor helper! 10 By heaven of the returning rain, 11 And [by] the earth which cracks open, 12 this is indeed a Decisive Word, 13 And it is not amusement. 14 They are planning a scheme, 15 But I am planning a plan. 16 So respite thou the infidels - respite them gently, 17
Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
