The Comet (Al-Taareq)

17 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)

In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful

CONSIDER the heavens and that which comes in the night! 1 And what will make you know what the comer by night is? 2 The star of piercing brightness; 3 Over every soul there is a watcher. 4 Let the human reflect of what he is created. 5 He is created from a drop emitted- 6 issuing from between the backbone and the breastbone: 7 He certainly has the power to bring him back to life. 8 A day when the secrets will be examined. 9 [man] will have no power, and no helper. 10 By the rotating heavens 11 and the earth, bursting forth with plants! 12 the Quran is the final word, 13 And it is not amusement. 14 Lo! they plot a plot (against thee, O Muhammad) 15 And I am planning a scheme. 16 So give a respite to the disbelievers. Deal thou gently with them for a while. 17

Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
