The Comet (Al-Taareq)

17 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)

In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful

By the heaven and the night-comer 1 And have you understood what the nightly arriver is? 2 (It is) the Star of piercing brightness;- 3 There is no living being but there is a protector over it. 4 So let man consider of what he is created: 5 he was created of gushing water 6 emanating from between the loins and the ribs. 7 Surely, He is Able to bring him back, 8 On the day when hidden thoughts shall be searched out. 9 (Man) will have no power, and no helper. 10 I swear by the raingiving heavens, 11 And the earth which splits (with the growth of trees and plants), 12 It is surely a decisive utterance; 13 And is not a matter of amusement. 14 Behold, they [who refuse to accept it] devise many a false argument [to disprove its truth]; 15 And I plot a plot (against them). 16 So respite thou the infidels - respite them gently, 17

Almighty God's Truth.
