The Comet (Al-Taareq)
17 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By the sky and the night comer - 1 And what will make you to know what At-Tariq (night-comer) is? 2 It is the star that pierces through [life's] darkness: 3 There is no living being but there is a protector over it. 4 So let man consider of what he was created. 5 he was created of gushing water 6 Issuing from (the pelvis) between the backbone and the ribs. 7 Indeed, Allah, to return him [to life], is Able. 8 The day all secrets are examined 9 and he shall have no strength, no helper. 10 Consider the heavens, ever-revolving, 11 And by the Earth which opens out (for the gushing of springs or the sprouting of vegetation),- 12 Behold this is the Word that distinguishes (Good from Evil): 13 And is not a matter of amusement. 14 They are devising a guile, 15 and I too am devising a guile. 16 so bear with those who deny the truth, and let them be for a little while. 17
God the Almighty always says the truth.
