The Comet (Al-Taareq)

17 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)

In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful

By the sky and the night comer - 1 And what shall teach thee what is the night-star? 2 (It is) the Star of piercing brightness;- 3 There is no soul but has a protector over it. 4 So let man consider from what he is created. 5 Created from a gushing fluid. 6 which comes out of the loins and ribs. 7 Surely He (the Creator) has the power to bring him back (to life). 8 The Day when all the secrets (deeds, prayers, fasting, etc.) will be examined (as to their truth). 9 when he will be helpless, with no supporter. 10 Consider the heavens, ever-revolving, 11 And [by] the earth which cracks open, 12 this is indeed a Decisive Word, 13 And it is no joke. 14 Surely they will make a scheme, 15 And I secretly plan. 16 So respite thou the infidels - respite them gently, 17

God Almighty has spoken the truth.
