The Comet (Al-Taareq)
17 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By the sky and the night comer - 1 And what could make thee conceive what it is that comes in the night? 2 The piercing star! 3 There is not a soul but over it is a keeper. 4 Let man reflect on what he was created from. 5 He was created from spurting fluid, 6 which comes out of the loins and ribs. 7 Verily He is Able to restore him, 8 On a Day whereon secrets shall be out. 9 and he shall have no strength, no helper. 10 By the sky (having rain clouds) which gives rain, again and again. 11 And by the Earth which opens out (for the gushing of springs or the sprouting of vegetation),- 12 Behold this is the Word that distinguishes (Good from Evil): 13 And it is not amusement. 14 They are hatching up a plot, 15 And I secretly plan. 16 so bear with those who deny the truth, and let them be for a little while. 17
Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
