Overwhelming (Al-Ghaasheyah)
26 verses, revealed in Mecca after Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat) before The Cave (Al-Kahf)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
Have you received the news of the Enveloper? 1 Many faces will be contrite on that day, 2 Labouring (hard), weary,- 3 They will [enter to] burn in an intensely hot Fire. 4 that is fueled from a tremendously hot fountain, 5 no food for them except thorny plants 6 Which will neither nourish nor avail against hunger. 7 On that very Day some faces shall be radiant with joy, 8 Glad with their endeavour (for their good deeds which they did in this world, along with the true Faith of Islamic Monotheism). 9 They will live in an exalted garden 10 where they will hear no idle talk, 11 with a flowing spring, 12 and couches raised high, 13 well arranged goblets, 14 cushions ranged, 15 and carpets outspread. 16 Will they not then consider the camels, how they are created? 17 And the heaven how it has been raised? 18 And at the mountains, how they are rooted? 19 And at the earth, how it is outspread? 20 Then remind them! Thou art only a reminder; 21 You do not have full control over them. 22 However, those who turn away and disbelieve, 23 Allah will chastise him with the greatest chastisement. 24 Indeed, to Us is their return. 25 And Ours their reckoning. 26
Almighty Allah's Truth.
