Overwhelming (Al-Ghaasheyah)
26 verses, revealed in Mecca after Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat) before The Cave (Al-Kahf)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
Hath there come unto thee tidings of the Overwhelming? 1 Some faces, that Day, will be humiliated, 2 Labouring (hard), weary,- 3 about to enter a glowing fire, 4 Made to drink water from the boiling hot spring. 5 no food for them except thorny plants 6 which will neither nourish nor satisfy hunger. 7 (Other) faces that Day will be joyful, 8 with their striving well-pleased, 9 They shall be in a Garden lofty: 10 wherein they shall hear no vain talk. 11 Therein shall be a spring running! 12 Therein will be thrones raised high, 13 well arranged goblets, 14 And cushions ranged 15 And silken carpets spread. 16 What, do they not reflect upon how the camel was created? 17 And the heaven, how it is reared aloft, 18 And at the mountains, how they are rooted and fixed firm? 19 And at the earth, how it is outspread? 20 Admonish thou then; thou art but an admonisher. 21 Thou art not at all a warder over them. 22 However, he who turns away and disbelieves - 23 In which case he will be punished by God with the severest punishment. 24 For to Us will be their return; 25 And Ours their reckoning. 26

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
