Overwhelming (Al-Ghaasheyah)
26 verses, revealed in Mecca after Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat) before The Cave (Al-Kahf)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
Has the story reached thee of the overwhelming (Event)? 1 Faces on that Day shall be downcast, 2 Labouring, wearied out, 3 They will enter in the hot blazing Fire, 4 Made to drink from a boiling spring. 5 They will have no food except bitter thorn, 6 Which shall neither nourish nor avail against hunger. 7 However, on that day the faces of other people will be happy. 8 and pleased with the result of their deeds in the past. 9 in a sublime Garden, 10 wherein they shall hear no vain talk. 11 Therein will be a bubbling spring: 12 Therein shall be couches elevated! 13 and goblets set forth 14 And cushions ranged 15 And linen spread out. 16 Do they not look at the camels, how they are created? 17 And at the Sky, how it is raised high?- 18 And at the mountains, how firmly they are reared? 19 And at the earth, how it is outspread? 20 And so, [O Prophet,] exhort them; thy task is only to exhort: 21 Thou art not at all a warder over them. 22 But whosoever will turn back and disbelieve 23 Him Allah shall torment with the greatest torment. 24 Verily, to Us will be their return; 25 then upon Us shall rest their reckoning. 26
God Almighty has spoken the truth.

قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
