The Night (Al-Layl)
21 verses, revealed in Mecca after The All High (Al-A'alaa) before Dawn (Al-Fajr)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By the night enshrouding 1 And [by] the day when it appears 2 And Him Who hath created male and female, 3 surely your strivings are divergent. 4 As for one who gives [to others] and fears [God], 5 for those who spend for the cause of God, 6 We shall surely ease him to the Easing. 7 But as for he who withholds and considers himself free of need 8 And gives the lie to the best,- 9 We will indeed make smooth for him the path to Misery; 10 His riches will not save him when he perisheth. 11 Surely it is for Us to show the Right Way, 12 and to Us belongs the Hereafter as well as the present world -- 13 I have now warned you of a Blazing Fire, 14 none shall enter it but the most wicked, 15 who have rejected the (Truth) and have turned away from it. 16 And away from it shall be kept the one who guards most (against evil), 17 even he who gives his wealth. to purify himself 18 and confers no favor upon anyone for recompense 19 only seeking the Face of his Lord the Most High; 20 He verily will be content. 21
Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.

قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
