Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
19 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat) before The Splitting (Al-Inshiqaaq)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ When the sky is cleft asunder; 1 When the planets are dispersed, 2 And when the seas are made to flow forth, 3 And when the graves are laid open, 4 A soul will [then] know what it has put forth and kept back. 5 O man! What has made you careless concerning your Lord, the Most Generous? 6 who has created thee, and formed thee in accordance with what thou art meant' to be, and shaped thy nature in just proportions, 7 Into whatsoever form He will, He casteth thee. 8 Rather, you belied the Recompense. 9 But verily over you (are appointed angels) to protect you,- 10 noble scribes, 11 Knowing all what you may do. 12 Most surely the righteous are in bliss, 13 whereas, behold, the wicked will indeed be in a blazing fire 14 They shall enter it on the day of judgment. 15 And will not be absent thence. 16 And what shall make thee know whatsoever the Day of Requital is? 17 Again, what do you know of what sort is the Day of Justice! 18 On that day, no soul will be of any benefit to any other soul. On that day, all affairs will be in the hands of God. 19
Almighty Allah's Truth.
