The Night (Al-Layl)
21 verses, revealed in Mecca after The All High (Al-A'alaa) before Dawn (Al-Fajr)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By the night when it covers the day, 1 And the day when it shines in brightness, 2 And by Who created the male and female, 3 Verily, (the ends) ye strive for are diverse. 4 So he who gives (in charity) and fears (Allah), 5 for those who spend for the cause of God, 6 We shall surely ease him to the Easing. 7 And as for him who is niggardly and considers himself free from need (of Allah), 8 And gives the lie to the best,- 9 So We will very soon provide him hardship. 10 His riches will not save him when he perisheth. 11 Surely upon Us rests the guidance, 12 And verify Ours is both the Hereafter and the life present. 13 Therefore do I warn you of a Fire blazing fiercely; 14 whereat none but the most wretched shall be roasted, 15 He who denieth and turneth away. 16 And avoid it shall the most pious, 17 [He] who gives [from] his wealth to purify himself 18 And no one has with him any boon for which he should be rewarded, 19 But only the desire to seek for the Countenance of their Lord Most High; 20 And he shall soon be well-pleased. 21
Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
