Hizb 46
< random >
AND, BEHOLD, Jonah was indeed one of Our message-bearers 139 Call to mind when he fled to the laden ship, 140 and sailed away in a laden ship, wherein people cast lots. Because he lost, he was thrown into the water. 141 The fish swallowed him up and he deserved (all this). 142 Had he not glorified God, 143 he would certainly have remained in its belly till the Day of Resurrection. 144 ۞ but We cast him upon the wilderness, and he was sick, 145 And We caused a tree of gourd to grow above him; 146 We sent him to a hundred thousand men or more, 147 and they believed in him: so We let them live in ease for a while. 148 AND NOW ask them to enlighten thee: Has thy Sustainer daughters, whereas they would have [only] sons? 149 Or did We make the angels females, and they witnessed it? 150 Lo! verily it is of their falsehood that they say: 151 God hath begotten. Verily they are the liars. 152 Has He (then) chosen daughters rather than sons? 153 What is [wrong] with you? How do you make judgement? 154 Do you not understand? 155 Or have ye an authority manifest? 156 Bring your Book, if you are truthful. 157 They have said that there is a relationship between Him and the jinn. The jinn certainly know that they will all be brought to suffer torment. 158 Purity is to Allah from the matters they fabricate. 159 except for God's sincere servants. 160 for, verily, neither you [blasphemers] nor the objects of your worship 161 you shall not tempt any against Him 162 Except such as are (themselves) going to the blazing Fire! 163 As for us, there is none but has an appointed station. 164 and, verily, we too are ranged [before Him in worship]; 165 Lo! we, even we are they who hymn His praise 166 What, would they then say: 167 Had we but an admonition as had the ancients. 168 We would certainly have been the servants of Allah-- the purified ones. 169 But they disbelieved in it; soon they shall know! 170 And certainly Our word has already gone forth in respect of Our servants, the apostles: 171 that they shall receive Our help 172 And that Our host, they verily would be the victors. 173 So turn thou from them for a while, 174 See them and soon they shall see. 175 Our torment seek they to hasten on! 176 But when it cometh home to them, then it will be a hapless morn for those who have been warned. 177 And leave them for a time. 178 And watch; they will come to know soon. 179 Glory be to your Lord, the Lord of Honor, above what they describe. 180 And peace be on the Messengers! 181 And all praise is to Allah, the Lord Of The Creation. 182
Almighty Allah's Truth.
