The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By the Glorious Morning Light, 1 And by oath of the night when it covers, 2 Thy Guardian-Lord hath not forsaken thee, nor is He displeased. 3 And the Hereafter is indeed better unto thee than the life present. 4 And indeed, in time will thy Sustainer grant thee [what thy heart desires,] and thou shalt be well-pleased. 5 Did He not find you (O Muhammad (Peace be upon him)) an orphan and gave you a refuge? 6 And found you deeply engrossed in His love, so directed you? 7 Did He not find you poor and enrich you? 8 So as for the orphan, do not oppress [him]. 9 And as for the petitioner, do not repel [him]. 10 Therefor of the bounty of thy Lord be thy discourse. 11
