The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after Dawn (Al-Fajr) before Cooling the Temper (Al-Sharrhh)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By the Glorious Morning Light, 1 By the night when it darkeneth, 2 Your Lord has neither left you, nor despises you. 3 Indeed what is to come will be better for you than what has gone by. 4 Verily your Lord will soon give you so amply that you will be well-pleased. 5 Did He not find you as an orphan and give you shelter? 6 Did He not find you wandering about and give you guidance? 7 And found thee in want, and given thee sufficiency? 8 Do not oppress the orphan, 9 and as for the beggar, scold him not; 10 And as for the favor of your Lord, do announce (it). 11
