Al-Duhaa

The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)

11 verses, revealed in Mecca after Dawn (Al-Fajr) before Cooling the Temper (Al-Sharrhh)

In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful

CONSIDER the bright morning hours, 1 and the brooding night! 2 Your Lord (O Muhammad (Peace be upon him)) has neither forsaken you nor hated you. 3 and the Last shall be better for thee than the First. 4 And soon will your Lord give you so that you shall be well pleased. 5 Did He not find thee an orphan and give thee shelter (and care)? 6 Did He not find you a wanderer so He guided you? 7 Did He not find thee needy, and suffice thee? 8 Therefore, treat not the orphan with oppression, 9 And as for him who asks, do not chide (him), 10 but proclaim the blessings of your Lord. 11

Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
