Al-Duhaa
The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after Dawn (Al-Fajr) before Cooling the Temper (Al-Sharrhh)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
By the midday brightness 1 And by the night when it is stillest, 2 (Muhammad), your Lord has not abandoned you (by not sending you His revelation), nor is He displeased with you. 3 And indeed the latter is better for you than the former. 4 Thy Lord shall give thee, and thou shalt be satisfied. 5 Has He not found thee an orphan, and given thee shelter? 6 And He found you lost and guided [you], 7 And did He not find you in need and make you rich? 8 As for the orphan, do not oppress him, 9 Nor repulse the petitioner (unheard); 10 And proclaim the Grace of your Lord (i.e. the Prophethood and all other Graces). 11
