Cooling the Temper (Al-Sharrhh)
8 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa) before The Afternoon (Al-'Asr)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ Did We not expand thy breast for thee 1 And relieve you of the burden – 2 Which weighed down thy back. 3 And raised high the esteem (in which) thou (art held)? 4 So, surely with every hardship there is ease; 5 Verily, with the hardship, there is relief (i.e. there is one hardship with two reliefs, so one hardship cannot overcome two reliefs). 6 So when thou art empty, labour, 7 And incline towards your Lord. 8
Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
