The Embryo (Al-Alaq)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
READ IN THE name of your Lord who created, 1 He created man from a clot. 2 Read: And thy Lord is the Most Bounteous, 3 who taught by the pen, 4 Hath taught man that which he knew not. 5 Nay! Verily, man does transgress all bounds (in disbelief and evil deed, etc.). 6 because he thinks himself self-sufficient: 7 Indeed, to your Lord is the return. 8 Have you (O Muhammad (Peace be upon him)) seen him (i.e. Abu Jahl) who prevents, 9 a servant [of God] from praying? 10 What is your opinion – if he were upon guidance, 11 or if he commands others to maintain piety!? 12 Seest thou if he denies (Truth) and turns away? 13 Does he not know that God sees? 14 Let him beware! If he desist not, We will drag him by the forelock,- 15 his lying sinful forelock. 16 Then, let him call his assembly, 17 We, will call the Zabania (the harsh angels of Hell). 18 No indeed; do thou not obey him, and bow thyself, and draw nigh. ۩ 19
Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
