The Embryo (Al-Alaq)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
(Muhammad), read in the name of your Lord who created (all things). 1 Has created man from a clot (a piece of thick coagulated blood). 2 Read: And thy Lord is the Most Bounteous, 3 who taught by the Pen, 4 He taught the human being what he did not know. 5 And yet, but yet man is rebellious, 6 Because he considers himself self-sufficient. 7 Surely! Unto your Lord is the return. 8 Have you seen the one who forbids 9 a servant [of God] from praying? 10 Have you considered if he were on the right way, 11 and enjoins piety? 12 Have you seen if he denies and turns away - 13 Does he not realize that God sees him? 14 Let him know that if he does not desist, We shall certainly drag him by his forelocks, 15 A lying, sinning forelock. 16 Then, let him call upon his council (of helpers), 17 We will call the angels of Hell. 18 No indeed! Do not obey him, but prostrate yourself and come closer to God. ۩ 19
Almighty Allah's Truth.
