The Embryo (Al-Alaq)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
READ IN THE name of your Lord who created, 1 Created man, out of a (mere) clot of congealed blood: 2 Recite, and your Lord is the most Generous - 3 Who taught (to write) with the pen 4 Teacheth man that which he knew not. 5 Nay, but verily man is rebellious 6 That he thinketh himself independent! 7 However, (all things) will return to your Lord. 8 Bethinkest thou him who forbiddeth, 9 A bondman of Ours when he prayeth 10 Do you think he is rightly guided, 11 Or enjoins righteousness? 12 Tell me if he (the disbeliever, Abu Jahl) denies (the truth, i.e. this Quran), and turns away? 13 Does he not know that Allah sees? 14 No indeed; if he does not desist, We shall drag him by the forelock; 15 A forelock, lying, sinning. 16 So, let him call upon his way! 17 We will call the angels of Hell. 18 No! Do not obey him. But prostrate and draw near [to Allah]. ۩ 19
Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
